Mountain Ready
Built for snow, slope, and fire season.
JS Construction frames, finishes and permits homes for the ground you're actually building on — valley flat, foothill slope or high Sierra snow country. One licensed crew, three very different job sites.

About JS Construction
A licensed crew that knows the terrain changes
JS Construction is a licensed California general contractor working the I-80 corridor from Roseville up to Lake Tahoe. A flat valley lot, a sloped foothill parcel and a snow-country Tahoe site don't build the same way — we plan each one for the ground it's on.
Owned and run by {{OWNER_NAME}}, with {{YEARS}} years building across Placer, Sacramento and El Dorado counties.

Questions
Zone & permitting questions
We offer building and permitting support inside the Tahoe Basin and TRPA boundary. That boundary adds review steps beyond a standard county permit, and the exact requirements depend on your parcel — we confirm the specifics on site.
Defensible-space rules vary by county, fire district and how close your lot sits to wildland. We don't guess at this from a distance — we check your specific jurisdiction's requirements during the on-site estimate.
Most do, but the required snow load figure is set by the local building department and changes by elevation. We offer to pull that figure and frame to it — we confirm the exact number with your jurisdiction before the bid is final.
We offer foundation approaches scoped to sloped and uneven sites. A steep lot can change grading, retaining and access costs, so we walk it in person before pricing it.
Sometimes. Foothill lots near wildland edges often call for ember-resistant details even without Sierra snow load, and a rolling valley parcel can still need a scoped foundation. That's the point of the zone picker above — it shows what tends to matter, and we confirm the rest on site.
